This concert theme was inspired by the painting above, Seasons of Love (now lost), created by my great-great grandfather, Baltimore artist Edward Van Reuth (1837-1925), photographed by Waldack. It is the only image known to exist of this painting and, as was the painter’s practice, features various generations of his own family. To learn more about this artist, see my previous blog post, “Meeting My Great-Great Grandfather at the MD Historical Society: Cheers!” [May 13, 2017]

All of the pieces selected for this concert relate to either a season of the year or a season of love or a combination of both! A PDF file of the concert program is included here, followed by videos of the concert. Enjoy!
